Dr. Taeksoo Shin is a board-certified internist. He is an expert in the management of acute and chronic diseases and in promoting health.
Dr. Shin completed his medical degree at Seoul National University College of Medicine, South Korea, and pursued training in family medicine in Seoul National University Hospital, the most prestigious hospital in the country. He was selected ‘The Resident of The Year’ for 3 straight years. He also earned his Master’s Degree in Public Health at SNU, focusing on epidemiology and disease prevention.
After serving in the Korean Army as a medical officer, he ran a successful practice in Seoul as a board-certified family physician. He then relocated to the United States in 2004 to further his training in internal medicine. After completing his residency at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, he worked as a hospitalist in the Chicago suburbs, accumulating in-depth experience in the management of a wide variety of medical conditions.
